The Outdoor Club at the University of Oklahoma is for anyone who loves nature, wants to learn outdoor skills, or just wants to spend more time outside with friends. Whether you have years of experience or you’ve never camped before, this is a place to explore, learn, and connect with other students who share a love for the outdoors.
Membership in the Outdoor Club gives you access to all club events and activities, including hikes, campouts, climbing sessions, workshops, and volunteer opportunities. Members can also check out gear from our Gear Library for a small fee, which includes tents, sleeping bags, stoves, and other outdoor equipment for personal or club trips.
All University of Oklahoma students, faculty, and staff are welcome to join. There are no prerequisites or experience requirements. Membership is $15.00 per semester.
There are no mandatory meetings (with the acceptance of certain meetings required for special trips you may be attending) or attendance requirements. You can participate as much or as little as your schedule allows, and you’ll always be welcome to join in whenever you can.
We meet every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month, 7:00PM – 8:00PM, usually in Dale Hall 206. Check out our Events page for upcoming events. Some meetings are required for trip registration. More details can be found in our events calendar for up to date location, time, and date of meetings.
To become a member, visit our ENGAGE page and request membership, as well as pay the $15.00 semesterly due to be accepted. Make sure to join our club discord, which is where you’ll receive updates about upcoming trips, meetings, announcements, and volunteer opportunities.
